From one legend to the next
“Life has a way of teaching us that each experience can be transformed into positive stepping stones. Choose to make changes for the better, not for the worse. Every soul carries a purpose, and every human being deserves respect and dignity — no matter their background or beliefs. Morale and ethical values inhibit greatness. Ultimately, with every hardship comes ease and success because wisdom and resilience resides through life’s tests.” – Farouk Azize Bheekhun (Aug 2022)

LKF Legacy and Lineage – In Loving Memory of our beloved father, Mr. Farouk Azize Bheekhun – Founder of LKF CIC UK
Our father devoted his life to the service of humanity, offering hope, relief, and kindness to all those he encountered. His unwavering commitment to compassion and service defined his character and purpose throughout his life.
As a young academic, he left Mauritius at the age of 17, joining his older siblings in England, who served in the British Army. He worked at Canon Electric Manufacturers in Islington, London, and later in the 1970s as a Security Officer at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). A deep love for literature accompanied him throughout his life; a book was rarely far from his hands. He held a particular affection for Shakespearean literature and theatre, which once sparked an interest in acting. As he would later recount with humour, “It went against my moral and ethical values — it just wasn’t for me.”
The senior Bheekhun lineage also holds historical significance, having chartered the first air flight from Mauritius to London, England, in the early 1960s, reflecting a legacy of courage, vision, and contribution that our father carried forward with honour.
Spiritual Journey
Our father channelled his selfless passion effortlessly until his final breath, serving as a respected faith and community leader in Haringey, London. His spiritual journey in Islam began in the 1960’s. In the 1980’s he worked as a manager at Muslim Aid founded by brother Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens). His close association with Muslim Welfare House in Finsbury Park deeply shaped his moral and ethical values, reinforcing his lifelong dedication to social work and youth leadership.
He was elected by Ghulam Sarwar of the Islamic Educational Trust to serve as an Islam Denominate Representative on the London Borough of Haringey Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE). Our father was a renowned social worker and a founding member of the Muslim Cultural Society (MCS), Stoke Newington, established alongside respected brothers: Nasrullah Neetoo, Raouf Elahee, Raouf Woozeer, Yusuf Akbar, Wahab Peerbux, Issaac Adam Gajraa, Mamode Mollen, Sayed Hossen, Rechad Beekun, Goolam Hossen Assenjee, Rashid Lallmohamed, and Mamad Mooreea.

Social Work and Faith Leadership
His leadership extended further through his service on the Metropolitan Police Faith Leaders Consultative Group, where he worked to strengthen trust, dialogue, and cooperation between faith communities and public institutions. He was also a founding member and trustee of Masjid Ayesha Tottenham, serving alongside his brother Imam Mohaymin, and contributed to the establishment and governance of several other masjid’s both nationally and internationally, reflecting his lifelong commitment to faith, community cohesion, and service beyond borders.
His selfless visions, values, unparalleled dedication and devotion continues to guide and inspire everything we do. His legacy lives on through the opportunities created for young people, community projects, and the lasting impact of his work for humanity across the globe.
Ultimate Verdict International
In the early 2000s, our father founded Ultimate Verdict International, an organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and legal advocacy for the voiceless.
In 2004, he co-founded A&Z Design Consultancy in Haringey, London, alongside his daughter and son-in-law, demonstrating his commitment to enterprise, mentorship, and family partnership.
He was also a prominent and respected figure within the Metropolitan Police Consultative Group, where he contributed to dialogue, community trust, and accountability between faith communities and law enforcement.
In the early 2000s, our father founded Ultimate Verdict International, an organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and legal advocacy for the voiceless.
